This report was motivated by a personal desire to ascertain the status of, and the relationship between, sports and journalism in modern society. The research is based on materials on a personal computer and in libraries, and on several interviews with present and past sports journalists. More specifically, the 1984 special report of Journalism Review entitled The Sports Journalism is used as the basis from which the discussion proceeds. The main findingsare that the definition of sports has changed, and that, influenced by multimedia, there have been change and progress in the field of journalism with regard to sports.
\n　この度、スボーツジャーナリズムについて自分なりの確認を得たいという動機で一応研究体制を整えるべくパソコン、図書館、元・現スポーツジャーナリストへの再三のインタビュー等、現代社会におけるスポーツとジャーナリズムの定位置と結びつきについてまとめてみる事とした。具体的には、1984年の「総合ジャーナリズム研究」の特集、「ザ・スポーツジャーナリズム」を根底において、論を進める事とした。その結果スポーツの定義の変遷、マルチメディア(平成4年をマルチメディア元年と云っている)という語句と内容によりジャーナリズムの幅に変化と進歩があった事を掴む事が出来ればと思った。
