| 内容記述 | The paper examines both US and Japan's economic relationship with ASEAN in the post-Vietnam era. The main focus is whether the historical concept of the divisional framework of US's responsibility for military stability and Japan's responsibility for economic development in the region is no more valid, or not. On a basis of the statistical analysis, it concludes that US has increased her economic interests in ASEAN region in terms of trade, investment and economic aid, even after the US military withdrawal from South Vietnam in 1975 and gradual deterioration of her military power in the Southeast Asian region afterwards. | |||||||
