| 内容記述 | It has been said that the word “Joho” is based on the Japanese equivalent for the German“Nachricht” translated by Ogai Mori，famous novelist in the Meiji era. But as far as I can see, the first usage of this word-took place in the Newspapers in the 28th year of Meiji, eight years earlier than Ogai’s “first usage.” This paper is an attempt to demonstrate that the origin of this word “Joho”Should be before the 28th year of Meiji and that this word was not what was intended by Ogai in his translation. | |||||||
