| 内容記述 | This paper reports the use and effects of an E-mail exchange between American and Japanese college students in foreign language classrooms. This E-mail exchange project was conducted in the CALL English classes at Bunkyo University and in an intermediate level Japanese course at New York University. Three Bunkyo students were paired with one New York student. They exchanged information about such things as themselves, schools, and neighborhood with pictures and questions to ask their partner(s). After several e-mail exchanges, students presented the information they exchanged in class. The results of the students’ survey and teachers’ observations showed that students were aware of their own English/Japanese language learning and learned different cultures through the e-mail exchanges. A description of the e-mail exchange project and its advantages for adoption in the foreign language classroom environment are presented in this paper. | |||||||||
