| 内容記述 | Many changes have been taking place in the world of broadcasting , including a revolution in information technology, deregulation, commercialization and internationalization . These changes have also affected the way that broadcasting is studied. The introduction of a commercial broadcasting system for Europe in the 1980's and the internationalization of the TV program market have both increased the economic and commercial value of broadcasting. This has generated a boom in the economic analysis of broadcasting and drawn criticisms of the increasing weight of economic factors in broadcasting, which some belive should be engaged in cultural activities. This thesis is intended to examine major documents on this subject available in Japan as well as Europe and the United States ; to study the characteristic features of the trend , determine the possibility of cooperation in the study of the two fields , and finally to point to the possiblity of writing of a new report on the study of broadcasting which considers both the economic and social functions of media. |
