| 内容記述 | Numerous NGOs are acting to alleviate the issues of poverty, inequality and social injustice in India. Some of them are globally recognized as “innovative activities” from the rest of the world. This article analyses the essence of innovativeness of Indian NGOs which received “Global Development Award” in recent years. The main points to be focused upon are the “Rights Based Approach”,“Capacity Development” and “Parallel System to the market and the public sector” The strength of Indian NGOs as derived from seriousness of development challenges, to which the government is not capable to address properly through conventional means. This situation have nurtured capacity of NGOs to identify the issues and invent innovative measures and inplement them. The NGOs and policy makers of developed countries, especially those of Japan, have lot of lessons to learn from India NGOs. |
