| 内容記述 | The Sudbury Valley School is a democratic community which allows students to educate themselves in an environment of freedom and trust. Students and staff each have one vote on all issues, including budgeting, tuition, school rules and staff hiring and contracting. The school is governed democratically, by the School Meeting. Students are free to do as they wish during the day, as long as they follow the school rules. No one is required to attend class. There are no tests or grades of any kind. The fundamental premises of the school are that all people are curious by nature; that the most efficient, long- lasting, and profound learning takes place when started and pursued by the learner; that all people are creative if they are allowed to develop their unique talents ; that age-mixing among students promotes growth in all members of the group; and that freedom is essential to the development of personal responsibility. |
