| 内容記述 | The current government initiative on English education has reached the stage of specific directives, including some for universities.We believe that the 2003 Ministry of Education Action Plan to Cultivate Japanese with English Abilities, and the 2004 Tokyo Forum on the same subject, can give guidance to those of us responsible for English education and the English ability of students at Bunkyo University. Part 1 of this article summarizes aspects of the 2003 Action Plan relevant to universities. Part 2 reports aspects of the 2004 Forum related to English skills desired by Japanese companies. Part 3 contains our suggestions for how the Ministry directives and employer needs might be successfully addressed at Bunkyo University Shonan Campus. | |||||||||||
