| 内容記述 | This study compares opinions on and the current status of the work-life balance （WLB） in Japan and Sweden and it examines the influence of gender， age and occupation as well as QOL， self-esteem， and interpersonal trust. The most frequent opinion on the WLB in Japan is “an equal emphasis” on work and life， followed by “an emphasis on life，” but under current conditions people frequently put “an emphasis on work.” This indicates a large divergence between opinions and reality. In contrast， the Swedish put “an emphasis on life” based on both opinions and current conditions， indicating a congruence between opinions and current conditions. In both countries， the young is the group that emphasizes life most， and older people tend to put “an emphasis on work.” This suggests that age group has a considerable influence on one’s WLB. Japanese respondents diverged by gender. Males shifted from “an emphasis on work” to “an emphasis on life” while females shifted from“an emphasis on life” to “an equal emphasis.” Sweden is a highly egalitarian society， and gender differences in the WLB were not found. Both Japanese and Swedish teachers held opinions on the WLB that emphasized life more than welfare personnel did， though the difference was not significant. In contrast， welfare personnel currently emphasized life more than teachers， and the difference was significant. This suggests that teachers are inclined to improving their WLB. There was a significant correlation between opinions on and the current status of the WLB in both countries， but not between QOL， self-esteem， or interpersonal trust. In Japan， a high QOL is related to “an equal emphasis” on work and life while a low QOL is related to “an emphasis on work.” Low levels of self-esteem and interpersonal trust are related to “an emphasis on life.” This result might be explained by the fact that students tend to emphasize life， resulting in low scores for these psychological measures. |

| 内容記述 | 本研究ではワーク・ライフ・バランスに対する意見と現状について、日本とスウェーデンの比較検討をするとともに、性別や身分・職業、年齢などによる影響やQOL、自尊感情および対人信頼感との関係性を検討した。日本ではWLBに対する意見は「同等」が最も多く、次に「ライフ」志向であるが、現状は「ワーク」志向になっており、意見と現実に大きな乖離があることが分かった。一方、スウェーデンでは、明らかに「ライフ優先」になっており、意見と現状は一致していた。両国共、高年グループの方が他より「ワーク」志向、また、若年グループの方が他より「ライフ」志向になっており、年齢に伴ってワーク寄りになっていくことから世代の影響が強いことが示唆された。日本は性差が大きく影響しており、男性は「ワーク」から「ライフ」へ、女性は「ライフ」から「同等」へと意識変換が起きていることが考えられる。男女平等社会のスウェーデンでは性差は影響していないことが分かった。両国共に、WLB意見では教員と福祉職間に有意差はなかったものの、教員の方が福祉職よりもライフ寄りであったが、現状では有意差がみられ福祉職の方がライフ寄りという逆の結果であった。教員はWLBの現状をライフ寄りに変えたいという意識を持っていることが示唆された。両国共にWLBの意見と現状間に有意な相関はあるが、QOL、自尊感情、対人信頼感との有効な相関はなかった。日本では「同等」のQOLが高く「ワーク優先」が低い。また、「ライフ優先」の自尊感情と対人信頼感が低い傾向であるが、学生＝ライフ優先＝心理尺度が低いという背景を考慮する必要があることが示唆された。 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
