| 内容記述 | This study examined the effects of deductive instruction in line with explicit corrective feedback as a method of improving the learner’s grammatical competence in the acquisition of attributive and predicative adjective use. The study took place over a 5-week period, in which five sessions were administered. The participant was a Japanese male university student. He is a learner of English as a foreign language of upper-intermediate level. An initial diagnostic test was taken. A pre-test and post-test were administered, both of which were in written form and used in analysis of accurate production of target features. Comparison between the pre-test and post-test scores shows a substantial improvement was made in production of the grammatical target features. Subsequently, results showed the combination of deductive form-focused instruction and explicit corrective feedback benefited the participant in relation to acquired explicit knowledge. | |||||||
