Background; In these days, various tools of nutrition support system via internet have developed. Usefulness of such systems is widely recognized since there are numerous reports on their effects and usage about nutrition supports. However, there are few reports on the usage or effectiveness of information-communication technology tools in the education of dietitian. Aim of this study; In this report, the aim was to discuss educational use and effects of nutrition support system via internet. Methods; Students of Faculty of Health and Nutrition, Bunkyo University performed nutrition supports as dietitians by using the nutrition support system (application software: Calorie Smile). After the supports, hearing investigations from both system users (subjects) and dietitian (students) were conducted. Results; Nutrition supports for three months were performed to the subjects who have health anxiety in their liver. Effective nutrition supports were observed for at least four out of six subjects. Discussions; As an educational usage, it seems that the utilization method such as role playing the roles of dietitians and users among students will be effective. It is thought that students can experience and understand the burden of system user (as a supported person) by using the system. It also seemed that the presence of inevitable time-lag between the action from users and reaction from dietitian accelerate the active learning of students.
