| 内容記述 | The main aim of this paper is to identify the factors which affect the entrepreneurial intentions of Japanese university students with a focus on risk attitudes (psychological factor) and role models (environmental factor). Direct and indirect effects (through entrepreneurial attitudes and perceived behavioral control) of these two variables are hypothesized. Ordered probit estimation and structural equation modeling are applied to data from a sample of Japanese university students. It is found that risk attitudes directly and indirectly affect the entrepreneurial intentions. On the other hand, only direct effects are found for role models. Also, weaker entrepreneurial intentions of female students are attributed to endowments effects (risk attitudes, entrepreneurial attitudes and so on) rather than coefficient effects. | |||||||
