Thus, he is considered to be a representative\ncharacter who lived during the reign of an emperor and who was symbolically and psychologically influenced by\nthe emperor.\nThe current work closely examines Takeru’s symbolism during his birth and his departure to the west area\nof Kumaso. This work also discusses the psychological meaning of the myth of Takeru in terms of (1) its\nclose relationship to symbolism of the mother archetype, (2) Takeru as a demigod hero, and (3) Takeru as
