| 内容記述 | This study deals with the myth of Yamato Takeru, told in Kojiki (712). He was born as a crown prince under the 12th Emperor Keikou. Takeru is the only person whose entire life history was described. Thus, he is considered to be a representative character who lived during the reign of an emperor and who was symbolically and psychologically influenced by the emperor. The current work closely examines Takeru’s symbolism during his birth and his departure to the west area of Kumaso. This work also discusses the psychological meaning of the myth of Takeru in terms of (1) its close relationship to symbolism of the mother archetype, (2) Takeru as a demigod hero, and (3) Takeru as a representative of the child archetype. |
