| 内容記述 | The lesson for children is sometimes better achieved with teacher's eye movement or facial display than with his vocal behavior. The eye may be at times more than an auxiliary to the mouth. One possesses oneself of the significance of the unity of mouth and eye. The Face as a whole which consists of eye, mouth, nose and other parts of the face is revealed invariably in diverse situations. And the face is founded on an individual physiological basis, while it may be shaped to resemble a given sociocultural role which facial actions refer to. For example, grandiose facial actions may often be expressed by ministers or generals. A cartain facial action rises in a certain social context and the impact of the face leads toward stress of a socio-cultural role. It is difficult, even if one wants to, todispense with the role built into his face. Such a relation may be found similarly between the face of nation and its culture. Its culture is carved into its face. |
