| 内容記述 | The auther considers in this paper religious and spiritual experiences in the depths of the human mind. This paper, which is intended to be the first installment of my planned series on x-experience, will discuss the characteristics of Japanese religious consciousness in the Tokugawa Period (1603-1867). Chapter I treats of the influences of Christianity during the period of " sakoku" (national isolation). Chapter II and chapter III, are the analyses of the unique religious thought of Zen Master Bankei (盤珪禅師) and of the birth and founding of the Konko-kyo Sect (金光教). The analyses are conducted on the basis of comparative thought. An investigation was made, also on that basis, into the process of transfer of religious experiences through the medium of ordinary language. |
