| 内容記述 | The new course of study of high school that will be implemented in 2022 now includes the new subject ‘The Public Sphere.’ Because voting rights were granted to 18-year-olds in 2015, the new subject ‘The Public Sphere’ is seen as the core of citizenship education, which promotes the political participation and social participation of young people. However, given the varied meanings of ‘the Public Sphere,’ there is another aspect of ‘Public Nature’ that is included in this new subject ‘The Public Sphere.’ Based on descriptions of the Course of Study and analysis of the Reports of the Central Council for Education, this paper reveals that ‘common’ and ‘openness’ are the key words of the new subject of ‘The Public Sphere.’ | |||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | 2022年度から本格実施される高等学校の新しい学習指導要領において、公民科に新科目「公共」が設定された。同科目には2015年の「18歳選挙権」成立等とも相俟って、若者の政治参加や社会参画を促進する主権者教育の核としての期待が多く寄せられている。しかし、「公共」あるいは「公共性」といった語の多義性に鑑みると、新科目「公共」に込められた「公共性」には別の側面が見えてくる。本稿では学習指導要領や中央教育審議会答申の分析から、新科目「公共」においては「公共性」の中でも特に「common」や「open」といった言葉で象徴される理念が重視されていることを明らかにした。 | |||||||||||||
