| 内容記述 | This paper reviews previous studies on the relationship between social work and spirituality. The following three perspectives were the focus for discussion of that relationship: 1. The changing relationship between science and spirituality in social work 2. How personal beliefs support the social worker 3. Understanding the spirituality of clients in a social work setting Social work has its origins in spirituality, but the pursuit of science has distanced it from that source as it has modernized. After initially being sidelined by science, spirituality has now regained importance as a beneficial force in serving clients. In addition, reflection is required on the part of the social worker to reconcile the realities of universal science and the powerful pull of spirituality in the life of the client. |
